President and CEO Laura Machanic co-founded New Target in 1998 in Alexandria, Virginia, and acquired sole ownership in January 2002. A native of Alexandria with a background in business and marketing, Ms. Machanic also brings international perspective to the company. Founder of Travel Russia, Inc. and co-founder of Service Adventures, Inc., both operating in the former Soviet Union during the early 1990s, Ms. Machanic hails from four generations of entrepreneurs. Much of New Target’s success has been attributed not only to the company’s creative and technical expertise, but also to Ms. Machanic's and the New Target team’s strength in building long term relationships with the company’s broad client base.
