Animal-lovers rejoice! The leaping Bunny Program, part of the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics (CCIC) has a brand-new website ushering in a new era in certified cruelty-free products.
Leaping Bunny has a catalog of hundreds of certified products and product companies. Each product company has a certain workflow and profile to update, handle certification processing, approval, paperwork, and pay dues. This along with your everyday content management, marketing, and sales from the Leaping Bunny team was becoming more tedious by the second. Leaping Bunny program staff needed to manage all of their systems and workflows from decentralized locations too.
New Target propelled their tech stack into the 21st century and data into the worlds-leading CRM, Salesforce. Being a Salesforce agency, we knew this software would serve them well in their growth, asset management, and overall product organization. In addition, we proposed expanding on their user features through media sharing, content creation, and other marketing tools to increase awareness, certification sales, and improve the overall user-experience (UX) with data-driven architectural changes.

Leaping Bunny straddles the line between a for-profit and non-profit organization. Their goal as a company is to increase cruelty-free awareness, solicit donations for the cause, and sell their sought-after certification to product companies. Simplicity is key when working to increase donations and sales at the same time. We reduced friction in fundraising funnels by providing a smooth user-journey for buyer personas defined in our research and discovery work. In addition, we added several action items and touch points on each page to ensure the user was well aware of their options to donate or learn more about certification.
New Target’s staff is packed with certified Drupal and Salesforce developers, all in-house. Their first task was to decouple many legacy 3rd parties and custom modules from Drupal 7 that made up Leaping Bunny’s prior CRM approach. We normalized their data, mapped it to Salesforce, and architected the connection via API between Salesforce and Drupal 8. We then began migrating user profile data, the client portal, and product profiles to the newly developed back-end of Drupal. Once the heavy-lifting development and integration was complete, we took care of a few minor integration points with MailChimp, social media channels, and payment processors to deliver a completely seamless UX.
