New Target recently redesigned and rebranded the Administrative Office of the U.S. Court’s (AOUSC) intranet, JNet, using Drupal. The project included multiple complex phases and the migration of over 100,000 content pages all of which were lead and executed by New Target. Our primary objective was to create a consistent, accurate, and user-friendly, customer-service driven website with increasingly relevant information and resource tools that help federal judiciary staff perform their jobs.
Working with the AOUSC project team, New Target designed and created a new look and feel for the intranet including a redesigned logo.
We then configured a Drupal CMS for the intranet that is intuitive and highly user-friendly for those accessing information from the front-end of the site. The Drupal CMS was developed to be simple and easy to use on the back end, where content editors manage and update the site utilizing Drupal’s distributed content management tools and workflows.
We integrated the intranet with custom developed legacy ColdFusion applications and several other SQL databases. The migration process involved migrating over 100,000 content pieces from multiple sources, this included developing a custom module for importing content from the AOUSC’s media manager, KIT Digital. Additionally, the completed intranet integrates with popular web technologies, such as RSS, podcasts, multimedia, social networking, and Web 2.0.
And best of all, this dynamic application is adaptable and manageable as content grows and changes.
