At New Target for over 12 years, Akira leads the support team, adeptly managing services for a broad range of clients including non-profits, private, and government sectors. His role involves deeply understanding client issues, defining their objectives, and devising precise, effective solutions. Akira and his team execute these plans and solutions with proficiency and efficiency, consistently adding incremental value to our clients and their audiences on a daily basis.

Akira’s career path began at Waseda University in Japan, where he graduated with a degree in economics. He then spent nine years at Koei/Tecmo as a developer and director, creating popular games for PlayStation 2, Xbox, Wii, and PC online platforms.

Following a move to the U.S., Akira shifted his focus to web development, successfully leading various projects. His expertise extends to integrating CRMs with Drupal and WordPress, collaborating seamlessly with diverse vendors and clients.

Akira believes that continuous improvement is the key to ultimate happiness. His passion lies in creating and revising existing workflows, often incorporating automation. He is now focused on transferring his ethics and extensive knowledge to the younger generation of professionals.

Akira’s professional journey is complemented by his personal passions. He finds joy in music, ranging from pop to classical, often musing that life echoes the ups and downs of Brahms’ Symphony No. 4. On the tennis court, despite over 30 years of play, Akira humorously admits he’s still on a quest to perfect his elusive forehand shot.

Akira resides in Alexandria, Virginia, with his wife, who is also an integral part of New Target, working in the accounting section.
