AI Policy
Last updated: March 1, 2026
New Target, Inc. (“New Target,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides digital strategy, design, development, marketing, hosting, and AI-enabled services. This AI Policy explains how we approach AI-enabled search, chat, content, automation, and related features on NewTarget.com and in client implementations we design, configure, deploy, or support in WordPress, Drupal, and other content management systems or digital platforms (collectively, “AI Features”).
This AI Policy applies to our site, NewTarget.com, and supplements our Privacy Policy, Site Terms, and any applicable proposal, statement of work, master services agreement, managed hosting agreement, or other written agreement with a client. If there is a conflict between this AI Policy and a signed written client agreement, the former applies.
Our Approach to AI
We believe AI should help people discover information faster, improve digital experiences, and support better workflows. We do not believe AI should replace human judgment in situations where accuracy, context, accountability, or professional review matter.
Where practicable, we aim to:
- identify when a user is interacting with an AI-enabled feature rather than a human;
- configure AI features to use client-approved content sources, workflows, and guardrails;
- support appropriate human review, escalation, or override paths;
- consider privacy, security, accessibility, bias, brand, and governance issues during implementation;
- use AI internally as an assistive tool, not as an automatic substitute for final human review of client deliverables.
Third-Party AI Providers
Many of our AI features are powered in whole or in part by third-party providers, including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and others (“Third Party AI Providers”). Those providers impose separate terms, technical limitations, rate limits, branding rules, moderation requirements, product restrictions, retention practices, and change-control decisions that are outside New Target’s control.
Where practicable and commercially reasonable, New Target seeks to use business or developer offerings that provide stronger privacy and administrative controls than consumer-grade tools. But New Target does not warrant that all providers, models, or features operate under identical data handling, retention, logging, security, or training practices.
Third party AI provider offerings, model behavior, supported uses, and availability may change at any time. New Target may add, remove, substitute, reconfigure, suspend, or discontinue any provider or AI feature (as described below) at any time, including where required by provider terms, law, safety considerations, or business needs.
What AI Features May Do
Depending on configuration, AI Features may:
- answer questions using approved website or knowledge-base content;
- summarize, classify, recommend, or prioritize content;
- assist with search, navigation, or content discovery;
- draft or suggest content, metadata, tags, alt text, titles, or other materials;
- support workflow automation or task assistance;
- combine AI responses with source links, citations, filters, or related user-interface elements.
Where available, New Target may configure AI features to present source references, links, feedback tools, or other context. Even so, AI output may still omit context, summarize incorrectly, or produce incomplete or misleading results.
Accuracy and Human Review
AI outputs are probabilistic and may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, biased, offensive, misleading, or inconsistent. Even when grounded in approved content sources, AI may misread content, invent facts, overstate conclusions, or miss important nuance.
Accordingly:
- AI output is provided for convenience and informational assistance only.
- AI output is not a substitute for editorial judgment, professional review, or qualified human advice.
- AI output should not be used as the sole basis for a decision, publication, communication, or action.
- Human review is especially important before publishing content or relying on output in any material, regulated, or high-impact context.
High-Risk and Restricted Uses
AI features may not be used:
- for medical diagnosis, treatment, clinical decision-making, or as a substitute for professional medical advice;
- to provide legal, tax, accounting, investment, or other regulated professional advice;
- to make, automate, or substantially influence decisions concerning employment, housing, credit, insurance, education, public benefits, immigration, law enforcement, or other similarly significant matters;
- for emergency response, crisis intervention, safety-critical functions, critical infrastructure, or autonomous actions in external systems without appropriate human authorization and supervision;
- in child-directed experiences or services primarily intended for minors unless expressly approved in writing and clearly supported by the selected provider and applicable law;
- in any unlawful, deceptive, discriminatory, defamatory, infringing, abusive, harmful, or rights-violating manner.
Data and Privacy
Our Privacy Policy governs our handling of personal information provided on our website, https://www.newtarget.com. For client implementations, the client’s privacy notice, end-user terms, and contract documents generally govern the deployed experience.
New Target aims to use commercially reasonable configuration options to support data minimization and appropriate privacy controls. However, AI features may involve the transfer or processing of prompts, messages, search queries, uploaded files, conversation history, logs, metadata, and related content by third-party providers.
Third-party providers may process and retain that information under their own terms, technical processes, and operational requirements. Some features may also involve separate logging, abuse monitoring, debugging, grounding, caching, testing, or retention behaviors specific to the selected provider or feature set.
You should not submit to an AI feature any sensitive, confidential, proprietary, export-controlled, biometric, health, financial-account, government ID, children’s, or other regulated data unless the relevant implementation has been specifically approved for that use and appropriate notices, consents, contracts, and safeguards are in place.
New Target does not build or train a general-purpose AI model on client content unless expressly agreed in writing.
Client AI Implementations
When New Target designs, configures, deploys, or supports AI features for a client, the client remains responsible for:
- determining whether AI is appropriate for the client’s use case, audience, and risk profile;
- selecting, providing, licensing, or approving the content, knowledge sources, prompts, instructions, business rules, FAQs, escalation paths, and workflows used in the implementation;
- ensuring it has all rights, permissions, and lawful bases needed for any content or data submitted to the AI feature;
- providing legally adequate privacy notices, disclosures, disclaimers, and end-user terms, and obtaining any required consents;
- establishing internal review, moderation, escalation, and fallback processes;
- evaluating compliance with applicable law, sector-specific requirements, accessibility obligations, records obligations, procurement rules, and internal policies;
- monitoring live performance, handling complaints, correcting errors, and making final publication or operational decisions; or
- all decisions, actions, and consequences arising from the client’s or its end users’ use of an AI feature.
New Target does not continuously review every live prompt, response, or end-user interaction after launch.
End-User Conduct and Acceptable Use
Users of AI Features may not:
- submit unlawful, infringing, abusive, deceptive, harassing, or misleading content;
- upload or disclose content they do not have the right to provide;
- use AI Features to create or distribute spam, malware, fraud, impersonation, or harmful content;
- scrape, extract, reverse engineer, benchmark, or use AI Features or outputs to train or improve competing AI models or services, except where expressly permitted by applicable law and written terms;
- remove or suppress required source links, notices, citations, branding, or safety features; or
- attempt to bypass usage limits, moderation systems, safety controls, or security measures.
New Target may suspend, rate-limit, block, modify, or remove access to AI Features at any time to protect users, comply with law or provider requirements, or address misuse.
Intellectual Property and Content Rights
As between New Target and the client, the client retains rights in content and materials the client provides, subject to any third-party rights and applicable agreements. Except as expressly agreed in writing, New Target receives only the rights reasonably necessary to perform the requested services.
Rights in AI-generated outputs, however, remain subject to the terms of the relevant provider, applicable law, and the nature of the output itself. AI outputs may not be unique, may resemble content generated for others, and may reflect patterns learned from large datasets. New Target does not warrant that any AI output is protectable, exclusive, available for trademark or copyright protection, or non-infringing.
New Target does not provide a separate warranty or indemnity or other undertaking for third-party AI output. Third-party AI Provider protections, if any, are governed solely by that provider’s terms and may not apply in cases involving beta or preview features, modified outputs, combined systems, client-supplied data, disabled safeguards, or policy violations.
Availability, Performance, and Change Management
AI Features depend on third-party APIs, infrastructure, moderation systems, search services, rate limits, and related components outside New Target’s direct control. AI Features may change, degrade, become unavailable, produce different results over time, or be discontinued.
New Target may update models, prompts, sources, thresholds, workflows, interfaces, or providers; limit or remove certain functionality; or suspend or discontinue an AI Feature if required by law, safety considerations, provider changes, client instructions, or business needs.
AI features identified as beta, preview, pilot, experimental, early access, or similar may be less stable and may change more rapidly.
Security and Oversight
New Target endeavors to apply reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards within the scope of its services. We also encourage implementations that support human oversight, source review, feedback collection, moderation, and escalation to non-AI channels where appropriate.
No AI system, web application, API integration, or internet-connected service, however, is completely secure or error-free. New Target cannot guarantee the security, resilience, or uninterrupted performance of third-party platforms or networks.
No Legal, Regulatory, or Compliance Advice
New Target does not provide legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, or compliance advice through AI Features or otherwise. Clients are responsible for obtaining their own legal, compliance, security, accessibility, and business advice before deploying or relying on AI Features in regulated or higher-risk contexts.
DISCLAIMERS
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AI FEATURES, AI OUTPUTS, AND THIRD-PARTY AI PROVIDER SERVICES OR CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” NEW TARGET MAKES NO REPRESENTATION OR WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, CURRENTNESS, NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, OR RESULTS TO BE ACHIEVED.
WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, NEW TARGET DOES NOT WARRANT THAT ANY AI FEATURE OR OUTPUT WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, AVAILABLE, RELIABLE, NON-INFRINGING, OR SUITABLE FOR ANY PARTICULAR USE CASE, OR THAT IT WILL BE FREE OF INACCURACIES, OMISSIONS, BIAS, OFFENSIVE CONTENT, OR THIRD-PARTY CLAIMS.
Allocation of Responsibility
New Target is not responsible for any loss, damage, cost, claim, or liability arising from or related to:
- client or end-user prompts, inputs, data, files, instructions, or content;
- reliance on AI outputs or failure to independently review them;
- client content, knowledge sources, workflows, or business rules;
- Third-party AI Provider acts, omissions, outages, policy enforcement, product changes, rate limits, retention practices, or security events;
- use of AI Features in violation of this Policy, applicable law, or third-party terms; or
- use of AI Features in regulated, high-risk, or safety-critical contexts.
Changes to This Policy
We may amend, modify, or update this AI policy from time to time in response to legal, technical, operational, provider, or business developments. When we do, we will post the updated version on the website and revise the “Last updated” date above.
