Sateesh Nutulapati

Director of DevOps & Hosting

Sateesh Nutulapati brings over 15 years of experience from multiple domains and various technologies with an underlying passion to deliver value and quality. He started working with New Target as a web developer and has progressively expanded his roles and responsibilities. In his current capacity, he manages hosting operations with a primary focus on reliability, optimal performance, and security. He works with all teams to ensure a high level of service availability and quality, and he provides solutions for operational issues.  

Internally, he collaborates with development and operations teams to establish the service delivery culture building best-in-class service engineering capabilities in the DevOps realm. He develops and maintains our platform services and tools to provide event logging, metrics monitoring, CI/CD, and other backend services. 

In his previous engagements, he worked closely with the leadership teams and helped with various new ventures and played active roles as business analyst, manager of corporate communications, and project manager. He also worked as a Drupal developer/practice lead and PHP developer delivering multiple successful projects while directly engaging with clients to understand business requirements, documentation, and project management. When he moved into hosting and DevOps, his experience in full-stack web development resulted in an efficient synergy between our development and IT teams that helps us provide a streamlined experience for our clients both in service and product delivery.

With bachelor’s and master’s degrees in psychology, he combines effective interpersonal and communication skills with systems thinking when solving important business problems.   

Sateesh lives in Alexandria, Virginia with his wife and children. In his free time, he enjoys studying yoga, zen, physics, and philosophy.
