Allan Chappelear is New Target’s creative director and provides creative strategy and design to enterprise organizations. He gives creative and technical guidance to the design and development team members, with a focus on scalability and extensibility. Allan’s innate talent coupled with his experience across the digital spectrum from design to development means that he gets the best results possible through the use of animations, interactions, and usability. He believes that design should be intentional and purposeful and works with his team to create brand aesthetics that tell a genuine story.
Allan began his career working as the first hire for a metro D.C. startup where he expanded his skill set and learned about building a company. He then spent time in L.A. where he successfully diversified his commercial portfolio with a list of impressive clients (think the Dalai Lama’s 80th birthday and high-end boutique hotel properties). His design work is rooted in functionality, usefulness, and data, so it was only natural that he progressed to frontend development work in order to fully understand the capabilities of designing digitally.
Allan’s experience includes creative design work for websites and marketing materials, user-experience work, technical implementation, and development. His focus remains on the implementation of successful user experiences for websites, products, and other web-based systems. He always remains current on new technologies and has experience with React.js and other cutting-edge frameworks.
Outside of work, Allan enjoys cooking, camping, and fly fishing.
